While every horse is valued, we share a special connection with Thoroughbreds—especially Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds and Thoroughbred crosses—whose sensitivity, intelligence, and heart continue to inspire our work in training, sales, and thoughtful rehabilitation.
At Robyn’s Nest Farm, there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Each horse and rider enters with their own story, and we believe their program should reflect that. Whether developing a young horse, restarting a Thoroughbred, or guiding a rider toward new goals, we take the time to understand the full picture—creating a path forward that is both thoughtful and sustainable.

ABOUT ME
About Robyn
With a lifelong devotion to horses and a deep respect for the process of training, I’ve built Robyn’s Nest Farm around one core belief: strong partnerships are developed through patience, consistency, and thoughtful horsemanship.
My journey began as a young rider, supported by my family and grounded in foundational training at Cold Spring Farm. By the age of twelve, I was competing in hunter and equitation classes both locally and on the AA circuit. I later refined my skills as a working student at Little Brook Farm, where I developed a deeper understanding of what it truly means to bring along a horse — not just ride one.
After raising my children, I returned to the show ring with a renewed focus, competing in the hunter and jumper divisions while also dedicating time to coaching and mentoring. I’ve had the privilege of working with riders through organizations such as the United States Pony Club, New York State 4-H, and the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association, helping develop not just riders, but well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen.
Today, at Robyn’s Nest Farm, I specialize in the development of young horses and the retraining of Thoroughbreds, while working with all breeds. My program is built on individualized attention — no two horses or riders are the same, and I believe their training shouldn’t be either.
I take a deliberate, foundation-first approach. I’m not focused on rushing results, but on creating horses that are confident, rideable, and prepared for long-term success — especially as they transition into amateur homes. My goal is always to set both horse and rider up for a future that is safe, sustainable, and enjoyable.
My passion for Thoroughbreds is deeply personal. A mare named Faithful Steps taught me patience, resilience, and the true meaning of partnership. Through her, I developed a lasting appreciation for the sensitivity and heart that make Thoroughbreds so special. That experience continues to shape my work today, as I focus on helping these horses find success in their second careers.
At the end of the day, my program is about more than training — it’s about doing right by the horse. Whether I’m starting a young horse, retraining an off-the-track Thoroughbred, or guiding a rider toward their goals, my focus remains the same: building a strong foundation that will carry them forward for years to come.
